Based in Asheville, North Carolina, Madelyn Ilana is a music teacher, healing arts practitioner, violinist, songwriter, and ambient dream folk composer.

Madelyn writes and performs her own music, blending evocative songwriting with lush, improvisational violin soundscapes. Her solo live performances weave together original songs, improvised violin, and spontaneous spoken word, creating an immersive and deeply moving experience for listeners.

She has released two studio albums, Awake Dreaming and Coming Into the Light, and her third album, Seeker is set to release November 21st, 2025.

 

In addition to her solo work, Madelyn is a professional violinist performing across many genres and available for concerts, events, and recording projects. She also collaborates as a session musician, adding her expressive and intuitive playing to a variety of artistic works.

As an educator, Madelyn teaches both group music classes and private lessons in violin, guitar, ukulele, and singing, incorporating a somatic approach that integrates body awareness and breathing coordination to support musical expression.
